Left handed guitar????

My neighbors' son is left handed and he wants to start learning to play acoustic guitar. Whats a good (moderately priced) guitar to get him??? I don't want something expensive since he's 13 and might not like it after all and quit. Whats a good brand, price range, and whats a good chord reference book for left handed guitar players?? thanks.
