Cosplay/crossplay ideas? :D?

Yes, I'm a girl, no I don't mind guy cosplay XD..Anyone got ideas that aren't done to death for somebody with medium-long black hair, worn curly or straight? :3 (PLEASE, don't say Kagome or L!)First time cosplaying, my friends convinced me it would be fun! I've got $100 or so to blow on a cosplay outfit, and I don't wanna spend half of that on a wig I'll end up wearing once or twice (Ok, I'll buy colored contacts if I HAAAVE to). So, black hair, moderately priced outfit...any suggestions? ^^
